Hi, I’m Daniella — the photographer behind Pengelly Portraits.


I specialise in newborn, baby, maternity and family photography in Devon, creating natural, timeless images that focus on real connection and emotion rather than stiff posing.


My aim is simple: to create photographs that feel honest, relaxed, and full of meaning — images you’ll still love in 20 years’ time.


I work with families across Teignmouth, Newton Abbot, Exeter, Torquay and surrounding Devon areas from my cozy Shaldon Studio.

Motherhood

I have always such a huge appreciation towards every parent that has come into my studio the past 8 years but since becoming a mummy to my little Amaya in 2024 it has opened my eyes to motherhood & just how precious each moment is, and also how fleeting they are too!


This has heightened my goal to preserve those unique memories for each & every family that comes to my Shaldon studio.

My photography style is relaxed and baby-led. I don’t rush sessions, and I never force poses that don’t feel natural.


Instead, I focus on:

  • A calm, comfortable experience for children and parents

We have had two newborn shoots with Daniella and both times she has been super friendly and welcoming. It felt like having one of your good friends taking photos rather than someone you had just met.
